What is a Marketing Funnel

Apr 6

What is a Marketing funnel? And why should every marketer use one?

It's a marketing strategy that you use to persuade prospective customers to purchase your product. This is a sales process in which someone visits your website to look up information that will solve their problem. You can build a rapport with every person you meet using certain tools.

This will help to understand the needs of every visitor. This in turn will push you to provide the best information to all your users. If you are able to gain trust from a visitor, they are more likely to purchase your products. The visitor becomes a customer.

At some point the majority of customers become extremely loyal customers who are willing to purchase just about every product that your website promotes. The marketing funnel is a collection of all the steps that are involved in turning visitors to buyer who is willing to buy whatever you sell.

This is the ultimate objective for any online marketer. It is achievable by utilizing a funnel that is well-designed.

Your marketing materials are attracting people's attention and guiding them to the funnel. When they fill out your PERSONAL questionnaire, they will be automatically entered into the funnel. Because they are not going to sign up for your lead capture page for business I'm using the term "personal". They would like to be leaders, not a business.

The lead capture pages serve as the entry point to the funnel. Once they click "Signup Now" or "Enter There" and they'll be able to be entering a brand new world of marketing via network.

The most appealing part is that they have qualified themselves to be able to do it. It is their decision. You've not offered anything other than that you're a leader, mentor, and someone who can show them how to get more leads, and more money in their businesses.

This is how a standard funnel functions.

To draw customers to your product, you need to offer them a freebie to be offered on the "front end". You will need to sign up to get the product (also called opt in) and enter your email address and name. They will then be added to your email mailing list.

Now, you have these contacts on your email and you can offer them similar offers that might interest them.

After signing up for the free offer they will be taken to a page with a low price offer or what's known as a trip wire offer. It is here that they'll be taken to the "backend" of your funnel.

If the person purchases the lowest priced offer, they will be directed to a comparable deal at a higher cost (commonly called an upsell). And if the person also purchases the higher-priced offer, they'll be transferred to the next product with a more expensive cost. You can continue this process for many more.
