A lovely spring wedding inspiration – meet me in Modesto

As two girls who went into this internship with no prior knowledge of wedding planning, it was huge to hear that we had to plan and carry out a stylish shoot. Tori and I almost immediately created and added at least a thousand inspiration pictures for what we envisioned. We didn’t know how much would actually go into a bridal-style shoot. You have to think of everything, there is the obvious; Venue, dress and flowers. But you also need to think about bridal accessories, what color cutlery you want, or whether you’ve thought of procuring plates (thank you ladles) Without the help of Kristen and the KWP team (we’re forever grateful) we couldn’t have brought this spring wedding inspiration shoot to life like this. Another big aspect of the shoot is that we had to work with our amazing local wedding vendors! They brought our vision to life better than we ever expected and we are so grateful for them. Together we could do this modern, funny and flirty styled bridal shoot with spring wedding inspiration!

Photographer: Kristen Weaver
Venue: Luxmore Grande Estate
Flowers: bluegrass chic
Furniture rental: RW Style
Crockery / cutlery rental: Treasury Rentals
Stationery: Say Calligraphy
Desserts: Sweet Miss V’s
Wedding salon: the bridal jewelry
Hair and Makeup: Bronze and Glow Beauty
Planner: Serena with Blush bbg
Model: Gabrielle Brookes

Venue: Luxmore Grande Estate

Luxmore Grande Estate was our first choice, largely because of all of the brick paths, fountains, and large open spaces inside and out. While trying to find a location that would go with our spring wedding inspiration shoot, we came across Luxmore. It has that classic charm while still being bright and open, and we knew it would be perfect for sygic cards to download to pc. We were able to use the front and rear outdoor areas and the combo room with a fireplace. The great thing about the estate is that it is so spacious and we had several different looking rooms to take photos!

The team at Luxmore were very welcoming and always available if we had any questions or concerns. They were a big part of how well the shoot came together in the end. We are so grateful to the RW team that it was so helpful that day!

Flowers: bluegrass chic

Flowers had to be one of the most exciting parts for Tori and me. We were so excited to see how our color palette would develop with flowers. From the start we knew we wanted a nontraditional ceremonial room and asked Bluegrass Chic to create a semicircular floor arch. In the end, they brought our vision to life so beautifully. Throughout the process from start to finish, Bluegrass Chic was extremely accommodating and helpful.

The day of the stylish bridal shoot was the first time that Tori and I could see the flowers Citavi Download. When I tell you that I (Yuli) spent half the day talking about how beautiful the flowers were, I’m not kidding. As soon as Bluegrass Chic arrived they got to work right away and were incredibly friendly. They even offered to move around the semicircular arc wherever we needed to go which was so amazing. That alone took the scene to another level. We were able to reuse the floor arch in three places!

Desserts: Sweet Miss V’s

When it came to desserts, we searched a lot for the perfect baker and then found Vanessa with Sweet Miss V’s! Once we looked at her work, we knew it would be a perfect fit. So we asked for a bare cake and a couple of small desserts that would suit our mood. She quickly replied that she was interested and gave us hundreds of small dessert options. In the end, in addition to the cake, we also had mini donuts, blueberry lemonade shooters, and tartlets!

From the moment Vanessa arrived, she was hands-on helping Tori and me set up the dessert bar, answering any questions we had and giving great feedback. This shoot was our first shoot, so we asked Vanessa whenever we were undecided or unsure. She was more than happy to help! At the end of the shoot, she offered the team all of the desserts, which was super sweet of her.

Wedding salon: the bridal jewelry

Choosing a wedding salon was pretty easy. We already knew about The Bridal Finery through Kristen and we knew this would be the first wedding salon we hit. So we sent Tali an e-mail with our inspiration for the spring wedding and made an appointment from there to come to the salon and select the dresses that we wanted to download for the cdburnerxp shoot for free. The day we were choosing dresses, we were greeted by Bri and she showed us around and helped us narrow our search to three dresses! To improve our mood for the shoot, we wanted very fun and unique elements for the dress, but keep it on the more modern side. All of the dresses we ended up buying went perfectly with our spring wedding inspiration style bridal shoot!

Bri was with us on the day of the shoot and was very helpful when it came to choosing the clothes. She said we could shoot all three if time allowed (which we could). The Bridal Finery also brought all the accessories we could need! Bri did a great job styling the accessories with the clothes and was by our side throughout the shoot helping out wherever she could.

Model: Gabrielle Brookes

While planning the shoot, I would say that finding the model was the biggest hurdle. We had secured two different models, both of which had to stop shooting due to unforeseen circumstances. One of them had to pull out of the day of shooting! So we went to this shoot without a model (YIKES).

Fortunately, we have our own model, Gabby. I called Kellen right away to tell her what had happened and she immediately knew to call Kristen and Gabby. We’re so glad Gabby was a game to be part of the shoot. Somehow it worked out for the best because she was with us throughout the planning process and knew exactly what mood we wanted.

Furniture: RW Style

We chose the RW style for our furniture rental. They also own Luxmore so we thought it would fit our shoot perfectly. RW Style has a huge selection of wedding and reception rentals so it was an easy choice. The RW team was very helpful throughout the process. When it came down to deciding which parts to use we had to keep our vision in mind and we explained this to RW and they gave us perfect options! We ended up with a lovely wooden outdoor bar, wooden table for the dining area, and super cute gold chairs!

The bar area was probably our favorite just because we set it up as a dessert display! We draped pink fabric over the bar and placed all of our desserts accordingly. Then we put our ceremonial arch back on the bar floor to give it a little more shine and it turned out to be perfect !!

For the dining area, we really wanted to show off the beauty of the table itself so no tablecloth was required. Instead we used a light brown chiffon runner in the middle. Then we added flowers and candles on the runner. Lastly, we added the dusty blue plates, acrylic menus, pink glassware, and gold cutlery. In the end, the table landscape merged wonderfully.

Hair & Make-up: Bronze & Glow Beauty

For hair and make-up, we chose Tiffany from Bronze and Glow Beauty. We met her more than once during the internship and she does such a wonderful job! If you’ve read Hannah’s styled shoot blog post, you’ve seen she used Tiffany for her shoot too!

As you can probably guess, Tiffany did an AMAZING job! We knew we wanted a fresh makeup look and cute up-do. Tiffany implemented our vision flawlessly. We can recommend them to anyone looking for hair and makeup services !!

Planner: Serena with blush

When we started planning the styled shoot, we didn’t even have a planner in mind (funny enough as it sounds). When we realized how much had really gone into the shoot, we got Blush from Brandee Garr. From there we teamed up with Serena! She helped us a lot from finding vendors to styling to fixing issues, literally everything. We couldn’t have done everything as well 100% as we would without your help.

Stationary: Say calligraphy

Stationary was probably one of the last providers we could find. Kristen was of great help in finding the perfect person for the stationary shoot. Kristen was able to connect us with Margaret from Do Tell Calligraphy and she was amazing! She did an incredible job in such a short time and we were over the moon with the suite!

For our stationary inspiration, our color palette included muted pinks, blues, and tans. Our other inspiration was acrylic menus, floral envelope inserts, and a fairly modern, clean look. Margaret brought our vision to life so beautifully !! We are incredibly grateful for their willingness to work with us.

Dish Rentals: Treasury Rentals

Emily from Treasury Rentals was the first tableware seller we contacted and she accepted immediately. We sent our mood board, which consisted of cool stone plates, gold cutlery and some kind of pink or brown glass. All the items in their collection are in pristine condition and all are so unique and fit our vision perfectly.

On the day of, we decided to leave out the charger and only use matching plates to keep it clean and simple. It worked perfectly, the minimal dishes matched the flowers on the table perfectly.

Ultimately, we couldn’t have imagined that this shoot would go any better than it did. Everyone involved went out of their way to bring our vision to life and we are so grateful.
