Danielle and Sam's dreamy tropical celebration

D A N I E L E A N D S A M.

Danielle and Sam wanted a rustic atmosphere with a tropical touch and knew that Bali was the place for them! A dreamy, shimmering sea and striking greenery formed the romantic backdrop. The couple spent the weekend celebrating with their loved ones.

The dance begins …

Danielle and Sam's eyes first crossed through the smoky flashing lights of a worn club dance floor. After Sam offered to buy Danielle a drink, there was a catastrophe … Sam's card was declined! Despite the little hiccups, her love story began. Sam was visiting New Zealand for a week and spent his time eating and drinking his future bride.

Love of distance …

The relationship started when Danielle completed her undergraduate studies, so long distance calls were the only option. "I wanted to follow it up and if I didn't, I would always wonder what if?" The bride tells us. After completing her studies, Danielle moved to New Zealand to be with her soul mate. "Moving overseas and being so far from family was a very difficult year, but Sam was the most generous and caring person. This year I knew I had met my soul mate," said Danielle.

Not so smooth sailing …

The couple were engaged along the beautiful Hong Kong harbor front with the picturesque skyline in tow. Sam even hired a private photographer to capture the perfect moment! Despite much planning, the moment was almost ruined when another couple started taking selfies at the designated place for suggestions and refused to move! Fortunately, Sam and his photographer were able to find a different perspective to capture the moment, and the bride was no smarter!

Rustic tropics …

The duo knew from the start that they wanted a rustic style wedding with a touch of the tropics! "We opted for traditional & # 39; classic & # 39; colors, but included the indigenous Indonesian flowers and greenery to add a sophisticated modern touch. Because on many coasts of Bali there are lush tropical rainforests on white sand and crystal blue water spread, we wanted to encapsulate this beauty during our wedding, "said the couple.

Bridal shower …

The group of five bridesmaids and five groomsmen consisted of the couple's closest family and friends. A personalized gift box was suggested to the bridesmaids to ask the question. This included engraved champagne glasses, beautiful drop earrings that matched the bridesmaid's dresses, and a small bottle of bubbles! On the big day, the women wore soft pastel shades of blue, accompanied by a breathing bouquet for babies. The groomsmen received an engraved bottle opener, a pocket square and socks that matched the color theme of the wedding. On the big day, they wore matching deep blue suits of their choice.

Dreamy dress …

Danielle always believed she wanted a princess-style wedding dress, but after trying on numerous dresses, she couldn't refuse this stunning mermaid dress! The perfect dress was found in Hong Kong at the Audella Bridal House bridal studio, where she fell in love with the Berta dress. When one of her closest friends burst into tears when she got out, Danielle knew that she had found "the one".

Meet in the middle…

Bali was chosen as the destination to say "I'm doing" as it was between Australia and Hong Kong, both of which are goals that matter to the couple. Knowing that this trip should be a big festival and should last until the wee hours of the morning was an important factor when choosing your venue! They finally chose the Pandawa Clifftop Estate, where they rented the entire 21 bedroom property for a full wedding weekend! It was on one of the estate's lawns where they were officially married.

Reception with a view …

After the ceremony, a beautiful gate opened to the second garden, where guests were greeted with an acoustic guitarist and a cocktail of their choice. The couple wanted something natural that emphasizes the beautiful cliff-top scenery the venue has to offer. They chose natural crossed back chairs and wooden tables that were beautifully decorated with local white flowers and greenery. Tealight candles have been added to the table setting for the ultimate natural ambience.

Clean and simple …

The simple but classic table setting was covered with traditional white local roses, dendrobium orchids, white local flowers, the baby's breath and a hint of green. The reception consisted of a meal of starters and a choice of New Zealand lamb or oven-baked snapper, followed by the stunning wedding cake!

Create memories …

The most memorable moments for the couple were the evening's speeches. Everyone who spoke brought tears, laughter and fond memories that the couple will always keep in their hearts. Of course, the evening ended with a fun and festive dance floor where the couple and their guests played through the night!

Cumshot …

Danielle and Sam decided to spend their honeymoon in Ubud, Bali, before venturing to Fiji on a private yacht. After the busy wedding it was "wonderful to have the downtime … to swim with manta rays in Fiji". After the couple ended their time in Hong Kong, they have since settled back on Australia's beautiful, sunny gold coast in hopes of continuing to explore different parts of Australia and settle on an Australian acreage.

For future couples …

The couple agreed that it was important to get the most out of the engagement downtime because "once wedding planning starts, it can get pretty stressful!" Take the time to "listen to each partner's thoughts and ideas" so it will be a special day for both of you! With this in mind, they also recommend not delving into the details and investing in a wedding planner! Finally for the big day: "RELAX and remember to smile and have fun!"
