OOOOO this wedding, guys! Where do we even start? We loved watching our couples change their plans from Big Bash to Micro Wedding and this is no different. When Covid came by and Lindsay + Pedro knew that their big Mexican wedding day had to look a little different, they accepted it and created MAG-IC! Nicoella Events, with a team from all Mexico-based vendors, helped the couple run a day celebrating Mexican landscapes and traditions while keeping modern and masculine details in mind.
We wanted to have a big wedding with all our family and friends. But when that didn't seem possible with COVID, we switched gears and decided to focus on an intimate wedding with our closest family and friends in a place we care about, San Miguel de Allende. The ceremony was just for the two of us in our friend's stunning new home, Casa Eterea. It was very cute. Then we joined friends for dinner cooked by our friend Donnie from the restaurant. He even sat down with us to eat. Pedro, a DJ from Mexico City, created all of the playlists for the evening, which was special because we met while DJing.
Come along and take a look through the lens of Eager Hearts Photography!
You know L is big on style when she let Ella Leyva create a silver leaf makeup look! Talk about glamor!
um … these boots are made for MORE than walking !!!
Mirrored micro wedding location
L + P asked two of their closest friends to host their wedding celebrations. The first house, a modern and mirrored wonder, so beautifully reflected the harsh and rugged landscape of Mexico.
To complement the setting, Floweriize mixes dried and fresh flowers to create organic flower arrangements that appeared to be growing off the land right there.
What a micro wedding to wear
The whole day was magical and intimate, so different that what I imagined as most weddings in Mexico is really big. We have to focus on each other. It was amazing to share our vows with the reflection of ourselves and the surrounding nature at Casa Eterea.
For the ceremony, L put on a wonderfully smooth silk dress by Va de Blanco. The perfect contrast to the dramatic backdrop and her glamorous make-up look.
P, the cool guy he is, rocked a patterned Zara suit and Luxxe Mx boots.
First dance: Pedro's favorite music genre is Nu Disco Funk, so we played that at dinner 🙂
Intimate micro wedding dinner party
After the ceremony, L + P sat down with their closest friends for an intimate dinner. It was taken care of by the restaurant and the decor was modern but still reflected the natural and earthy atmosphere of Mexico with furniture rental from Etcetera SMA.
To lighten the heavy wood and dark metallics, L + P brought light and neutral table rentals from Butterfly Linens and Rachel Horn Interiors.

COVID doesn't mean the celebrations as we know them are over. We really appreciated the intimate nature of our wedding. It was special and focused. And we know when the pandemic is over that we can have a big party if we want.
A perfect example of how to gracefully transition from a large blowout event to a more intimate micro-wedding. Congratulations Lindsay + Pedro! Your day is breathtaking, and we wish you a happy and loving marriage! -The GWS team
