Favorite Wellness Products for March: At-Home Facials, a Non-Toxic Cleansing Kit, and More!

Welcome to the first edition of our newest wellness series! In a similar story to the beginning of Links + Loves, we shared our favorite finds (especially favorite wellness products) with each other. Last year, self-care and wellness were more important than ever. It’s a good thing 2020 didn’t bring us anything we aren’t crazy about! We’ve taken wellness matters into our own hands, from perfecting our facials at home to identifying the mental health benefits of simply putting a piece of the puzzle together.

Today we’re excited to share the wellness products we tried and loved in February! We know that not everything is for everyone, but we hope you find something new to add to your own wellness journey!

Skin care + make-up: facials, scrubs and masks to take home

the common scrub for home facialsMy favorite care product at the moment is the AHA 30% + BHA 2% exfoliating solution from The Ordinary. This very popular product is a chemical peel that removes dead skin cells and makes your skin firm. It’s a little stingy, but that’s normal. It’s good for at-home facials because it just works – and at $ 7.20 you can’t beat the price. – Britt

her mascaraWho rocks the barely-there make-up these days? I like just enough to feel like a person, but not so much that it’s a struggle to take off at night. I’ve been wearing Ilias limitless eyelash extensions mascara for a month. This makes my eyelashes look full, not lumpy, and easy to peel off. I have the test size and will definitely upgrade. – Britt

I love trying different cleaning products and this new (for me) brand is a winner! Three Ships is a clean brand that is now on sale at Target (they are really stepping up their skin care brands!). Their Refresh Cleanser is frothy, smells so good and is perfect for combination / oily skin. I’ve been using it for the past 3 weeks and I can definitely see results. – Jen

Lane-like lip sleep maskI think my lips are chronically chapped. Something in my hormones changed after I had kids and nothing that made my lips lipstick ready, like Laniege’s lip sleep mask. I am an all time fan! – Britt

Buffy Bar lushBody butter is as comforting as it sounds, especially this Buffy Bar from Lush Cosmetics. You will NOT stop feeling your skin after rinsing it on +. It’s smooth, buttery magic for your sad winter skin. – Danielle

Charcoal face maskI’ve been doing facials at home for a year now and the main actor in my routine is this Burt’s Bees charcoal sheet detoxifying mask. Since it’s cruelty, parabens, and phthalate free, it comes as close as possible to a natural facial. – Danielle

Humidifier for home facial treatmentsOK, yes – I take great pride in my home facials and this portable facial humidifier literally adds a very little spa experience to my regime. It is magic. – Danielle

For your sanity: “nail” the cute puzzles

Olives & June Nail ArtDo you know how to paint nails? No, but really? This month I tuned into Olive & June’s IGTV and there’s just a lot I didn’t know. They will teach you how to properly shape, make your cuticles healthy, and paint without piling up on the bottom. Painting my nails gave me a reason to slow down and be present – as good for my mind and mood as anything else. In addition, the O&J polish cannot be surpassed. And the nail file will change your life. You can get all goods at Target. -Brittany

Flowers soft bound notebookOne of my favorite mental health things to do is journaling – and I know I am not alone! Spending a few minutes each morning jotting down memories, thoughts, goals and more is a great way to start the day – and our JUST LAUNCHED vegan Sunset Blooms notebook made of soft leather is the MOST BEAUTIFUL book to journal in. Make lists!) – Jen

inspirational coloring bookI wish I could meditate better, but I just can’t get there yet. One thing I do to calm my mind is color! I recently bought this inspirational coloring book and love it! – Jessi

Flower puzzleMy family and I have been doing puzzles for the past 8 months and it’s a great way to get undressed. We always have a puzzle on one of our tables and just sit down and work on it when we need a break from the internet and liveā€¦. Have a glass of wine and this is where you can usually find us before dinner! This flower puzzle is such a cool shape and we just finished this Mystic Maze Magic puzzle that comes with a fun surprise in the end!

Personal care: moving, hydrating, sleeping

Puma running sneakersNothing motivates me to train like a brand new pair of tennis shoes. I’m about to buy these back because I love them so much! – Jessi

pink motivational water bottle

Not drinking enough water? These timed goal bottles seem like a great way to help (thanks to a friend for sharing!). – Katie

Silk sleep maskAnd of course I always try to get 8 hours of sleep! I set the “bedtime” reminders on my phone to warn me 1 hour before bed to get ready for bed. It’s the little things that help! – Katie (give yourself a little silk sleep mask)

Favorite food find: Green Dream

green dream smoothie mixPhilosophy Green Dream is currently my favorite superfood blend for smoothies. I love making a smoothie every morning and have been making the same for a couple of years. I messed it up last month and this is my new favorite smoothie! So easy. Just add a cup of almond milk, half a frozen banana, 4-5 frozen strawberries, a scoop of Green Dream, a tablespoon of almond butter and mix. So delicious. The main ingredient in the blend, spirulina, is an antioxidant-rich blue-green alga that’s packed with nutrients like iron, magnesium, manganese, zinc, copper, selenium, chromium, vitamin B-12, and protein. Green Dream only feeds your cells with the best and makes it easy to stay healthy and fit – just like a dream! – Jen

Home Wellness: A non-toxic cleaning kit from Target

non-toxic cleaningI’ve been using natural products to clean my home for a long time and nothing checks the boxes as well as Casabella’s Infuse products at Target. Affordable, non-toxic, aesthetically pleasing, environmentally friendly and intuitive. I think the cleaning caddy and microfiber towels are essential to then stock up on concentrates. The whole system makes cleaning my house easy and enjoyable. – Britt

See you next month for another edition of our favorite wellness products and finds! xoxo
