Welcome to another edition of Links + Loves! Let’s jump right in …
It’s this time of year that we all wish we were on a plane to Austria (credit for THIS inspection goes to @lumadeline), but unfortunately. Most of our editors seem to be dealing with the travel loss in the form of vacation baking – how about you?
Did we just expect Taylor Swift to release a surprising new album on the GWS news when we shared this her-inspired wedding this week ?! Elsewhere, have you been amazed to see this basketball court turn into a wedding venue and have seen our travel guide to NYE at home? Promise it’s not as lame as it sounds.
There’s a lot of good going on at GWS, and here are some things our editors have been loving lately:
If you follow IG Stories you might have seen our big family news – we saved a puppy! My girls are overjoyed! To find out more about puppy training, we bought the masterclass for the puppy training videos and now just had to share it. It’s one year membership, one year free! Such a great gift idea 🙂
I bought this sweater for Black Friday and it’s my new favorite – soft, cozy and warm for cool winter days. Plus it’s on sale now, offering a 60% (!!) discount.
Who still enjoys driving around and looking at Christmas lights? If that’s you and you have young kids, this Holiday Scavenger Hunt Studio DIY looks so fun!
I grabbed 2 of these $ 3 Christmas tins for baking and they are soooo cute. Especially when it’s filled with goodies.
Also, I accidentally ruined my pot this week (don’t ask) and just got this one delivered – it costs $ 15 and has over 100 5-star reviews.
If you are looking for a different gift idea for kids, can I recommend these cute machine washable dolls? My son (now 3, still playing with it) has these and I ordered one of these cute dolls for my daughter (14 months).
Those jeans … flared and funky. I’m waiting to make my cowgirl dreams come true in the desert, but for now, maybe just the grocery store or a walk around my block will do.
Season 2 of His Dark Materials started a few weeks ago and I love it! Fantasy genre + kid friendly. You can see it on HBO Max!
I found this cranberry and ginger fizzy drink at Trader Joe’s and I am obsessed. Add some vodka + lime juice for a simple holiday-themed Moscow mule! (PS: Jen + Britt support this very much as well.)
A couple of my family + friends are really interested in astrology and I get a couple of these embroidered hoop art pieces for Christmas.
One of my favorite comedians, Jenny Slate, brought out a book called Little Weirds. It’s on my list of readings during the holidays!
I’m taking a page from Half Baked Harvest’s book and making cookies to give my family as presents. I’m going to stack cookies in these kraft paper boxes, tie them up with this fun velvet ribbon, and use these cute gift tags to finish things off!
It’s poinsettia season! These babies can live long lives even after the holidays. Just be careful not to walk over water! Poinsettias don’t need a lot of water. You can check by gently lifting it up: when it’s light, it’s time for some water! You can also water them by soaking them from below, which will make the soil more saturated 🙂
For a fun DIY vacation, grab this macrame snowflake set and make some adorable ornaments!
It’s so extra, but I don’t care! I’ve always dreamed of having one of those elaborate retro fur-trimmed robes that I see in the old movies. I finally found one that is 100% worth the money! (Makes a great gift for the vintage lover on your list!)
Number one on my husband’s Christmas list was new Oakley sunglasses. I got him these and after trying them on myself I can say that they are 100% worth the hype.
