Jacqueline and Scott’s laid-back boho celebration

Jacqueline and Scott met in 1993 and after many wonderful years decided it was time to tie the knot and become husband and wife! Hoping for a laid-back boho party, the couple said ‘I do’ surrounded by soft light, pale pink flowers and their loved ones!

Back in 1993 …

The happy couple was introduced during one evening in 1993. Soon after, when it got harder and harder to be apart, they knew it was love. Scott traveled overseas with friends and the duo missed each other more every day. When he got home, they knew the next step was to move in!

Second time a spell …

Even though the couple said “I’ll do” now, they almost went up a gear! “Scott asked me not to marry him long after we met, but I’ve been married before and just didn’t think the timing was right. In February 2020, after a life changing journey, I decided to ask Scott it was in leap year, at a music festival on the top of Mount Panorama. I got my 2 closest friends and told them what I was up to. When it got dark under one of the decorated archways with everyone our friends asked him if he would marry me His answer was “I think we’ve done this before” and then said “Yes!”

The boho vibe …

From the start, the couple had a wedding theme in mind that would fit perfectly with their personality and relationship. “I wanted a relaxed, boho style,” says Jacqueline. “The theme was rustic boho with pretty lace and pale pink flowers with lots of characters of love, always and forever and soft light. It was beautiful and very relaxed so everyone was relaxed and had a fabulous time!”

A family affair …

The bridal shower was full of family members and close friends. Jacqueline was accompanied by two best friends and their two beautiful daughters. Scott was accompanied by his brother, son and grandson! The bridesmaids wore delicate, delicate pink boho dresses of various lengths with the cutest flowers in their hair. The groomsmen kept it casual with blue jeans and either a white or pink linen shirt topped off with a bold red or white rose. Another touch of family magic was when Jacqueline was shown down the aisle by her brother-in-law, who had the honor of giving her away.

I put a Spell on You…

The bride has certainly cast a spell over guests wearing a floor-length boho design by Spell. The top beauty featured bell sleeves, a stunning swirl pattern and a little train for this bridal princess look. To compliment the theme, the bride opted for loose curls and a shimmery headpiece. To add a touch of feel to the final look, the bride held a gifted bouquet in hand throughout the day. “It was a gift that was sent to me that day from a good friend who couldn’t do the wedding. We just added a baby’s breath and ribbon and decided to use that last minute.”

Home Sweet Home…

The reception took place at the Bishops Court Estate in Bathurst, a beautiful boutique hotel in a Victorian mansion. The canopy of the tall trees has been adorned with pink and white Christmas balls to add a touch of shimmer and compliment the lively outdoor space. The tables were completed with glasses decorated with ribbons and Hessian material, with flowers, candles and painted pink and gold signs of love that added the finishing touches to romanticism. To give one last sense of home, the couple distributed pillows and ornaments from home at the venue.

Raise a glass …

The couple decided that the focus and theme of their wedding would be celebration. After 26 years together there was a lot to drink! This meant the couple had two bars, one serving wine and beer and the other creating fabulous cocktails. Delicious finger foods such as smoked salmon bites and arancini balls joined the celebrations.

The magic of the family …

There were so many magical moments on that day, but it’s safe to say that family involvement was one of the best parts. Share Jacqueline: “I really enjoyed getting ready with my best friends and daughters. It was also great that our grandson was there and walked out of the wedding with us and photo bombed all of our photos. The whole event was everything we had imagined and more “.

The trip…

The life changing journey that Jacqueline mentioned played a huge role in this couple’s love story. Jacqueline’s transformation began in 2018 when, on a return trip from Byron Bay with her family, she decided that her weight was holding her back and that she had to do something about it. She signed up after seeing an ad for SuperFastDiet on TV and has not looked back since. After losing a staggering 150 pounds, her self-love and confidence was rediscovered. It was very important to Jacqueline to do things for herself that she had put off for so long, such as: B. To cling to show that smile. “I always took second place in everything and thought, ‘No, I deserve this,’ so I got braces.” And to top it off, Jacqueline proposed to her longtime partner and soul mate on February 29, 2020 and hasn’t looked back. Jacqueline is also a super coach who now offers support and accountability to other women so they can achieve their goals too!

The founders of SuperFastDiet, Coach Angie and SFD member Viginia were also at the wedding!

Planning problems …

Of course, this magical day happened in the dreaded year of Covid-19! “Covid-19 made planning the wedding very difficult,” said the couple. “There were so many restrictions and changes. We didn’t know what was going to happen as our wedding date rolled around. We just had to spur it on and hope for the best! What turned out to be the best day ever”. As the couple also recommends when planning your special day, “Don’t overthink it and get overly stressed. Everything will work and fit together.”
