King-Wey + Louis married a month before the meeting in a civil ceremony to take their vows in front of friends and family – and under some stunning flower installations! And it's no wonder the flowers were in the front and in the middle. King-Wey is the florist behind Alright Petal Flowers, so she has an eye for unique, dreamy design! She worked with Hazel Gardiner Design to create something really magical.
For the couple, it was important not to do anything "to do it" or because "that's what people do at weddings". They preferred to plan a day that was authentically a couple … even if their choice raised a few eyebrows at more traditional guests.
Through her own work as a wedding and event florist, King-Wey had a list of suppliers that she knew they wanted to work with. Calling friends who knew them well made it easy to achieve a very personal feeling throughout the day. A typical example: the tailor-made blushing wedding dress that we immediately fell in love with!
Let's take a look at the details of the day that Jessica Williams recorded!
Starting with the beautiful engagement ring + band from EC One and the Louis band from We Are Arrow.
The bride wore a tailored blush
The custom-made King-Wey dress was made by Jenny Lessin, a wedding dress designer and friend of the bride since the beginning of her journey as a florist. They both knew the dress would be flower-heavy, but Jenny also wanted it to be representative of the way King-Wey works with flowers. The dress was playful with handcrafted 3D silk organza flowers that plunged down the train, and contained elements of surprise through the use of splashes of color from lighter oranges, pinks, and muddy green.

Statement flower installations at the Shoreditch ceremony
The couple heard about a friend from The Tab Center and found it a hidden gem in the middle of Shoreditch that was surprisingly unknown to Londoners and wedding vendors. The historic Victorian building was the perfect space to create some magic! Knowing that all of the venue's profits would go back to funding the Tab Center's many community projects made it easy for the duo.
The flowers had to make a statement with two local florists! King-Wey wanted to work with Hazel Gardiner Design for their distinctive and unique style. The main focal points were the hanging flower installations and the meadows – full of texture and full of interesting ingredients.
The ceremony was a relaxed and informal affair led by King-Wey's best friend. They ended up singing Whitney Houston's "My Love Is Your Love", accompanied by a jazz trio of Louis & # 39; university friends!
I love his blue Casely-Hayford suit!
Bridesmaids in rust + gold
We love this unique mix of colors! Romantic and autumnal dahlias (the bride's favorites) were abundant in the bouquets.
A reception filled with flowers
Simply stunning, simply gorgeous!
Funny fact! We wanted to share these stunning flowers for a hanging installation summary and then we saw all the details. We knew that the King-Wey + Louis wedding deserved its own function! But if dreamy statement installations are your thing, here are a few that you should love:

London is for lovers
The couple ended the night dancing to music from The Ska Kings, a 9-piece band! So funny, isn't it? Congratulations to the happy couple on your nice day!
