Terracotta arches + boho pampas grass decor for that Texas Hill Nation marriage ceremony

This Texas Hill Country wedding couple shows us how to completely customize your wedding style with finesse! Katie + Phillip planned a bohemian dream of an anniversary wedding at Maes Ridge in Dripping Springs, TX. K, who was just about to start her own wedding rental company, decided to use her day to create bold, custom decorative pieces to use for her business. With the help of Heather Lane Events, she planned the perfect mix of pampas grass, naturally woven details, and some pretty radical terracotta arches. We let K tell us more:

As I was planning, I really started getting interested in the terracotta colors and curved details. This eventually became the “theme” of our wedding. I wanted everything to feel very cohesive and well thought out, so I sprinkled arched details and terracotta pops in everywhere I could. I had our vaulted ceremony backdrop, vaulted champagne wall, and the arch that stood behind us on the head table made for our wedding so we could use it and rent it out later. These elements were my absolute favorite details of our wedding.

Peyton Rainey Photography captured every beautiful detail. Let’s turn the page and take a look!

We could honestly stare at this gorgeous selection of champagne bridesmaid dresses all day! I also loved that some girls wore bouquets of flowers and others wore woven fans. K and her girls looked ready for the wedding day thanks to the hair and makeup talents from LUX Beauty and Bridal + Lola Beauty.

It’s too hard to pick a moment out of the whole day because every moment was my all time favorite, but one moment that really felt special was when I took a moment and looked around the reception room, which was completely decorated and I thought two things: 1. I can’t believe I did all of this myself. It was so surreal to see it all come together and I was so proud of all the hard work I put into planning every detail. Then I thought we did it! We made it. All the stress of planning a wedding during a pandemic is over and now it’s time to just CELEBRATE.

Texas Hill Country Wedding

I am so grateful that we continued our wedding on August 1st. I can’t even describe the feeling from that day. The postponement of our wedding made the actual day even more special and you could really only feel the love in the room that day. It took blood sweat and tears to achieve this, and it was even better than I imagined.
